The FW21 collection is inspired by the places of the brand’s roots: England and the United States.
The UK safeguards and passes down its tradition, Fraser Tartan and its icons, the G9, G10 and G4 jackets. The Duffel Coat is back, reworked with toggle fastenings, in 100% Made-in-Italy wool, with a Fraser Tartan lining. The Baracuta Paul Coat is one of our most innovative pieces of outerwear, flaunting a loose fit and coming in fine Moon Wool, from Abraham Moon & Sons, with a houndstooth design and an umbrella vent on the back. The classic Baracuta G10 jacket has been reworked in recycled and coated Made-in-Italy wool to ensure the utmost protection from bad weather, boasting Blue chequered, Herringbone and Blackwatch versions. The warmest and most high-performance pieces include those in waxed cotton: the Terence Waxed Long Jacket, the new military-inspired parka, and the G9 AF Waxed Pocket jacket with multiple pockets, which looks like a flight jacket. The collection also features a corduroy line: the G9 AF Classic Corduroy, the Cord Overshirt and the Baseball Hat Corduroy, as well as a suit in gold and premium orange, made up of a double-breasted Blazer with matching trousers.
The United States mark the success and visibility of Baracuta, which intercepted the taste of entire generations. Just think of the film and music stars and the brand becoming a household name when it revolutionised men’s outerwear, starting from American Ivy League college campuses. The brand is embodying this theme by launching the Baracuta Varsity Jacket - inspired by a character on the soap opera Peyton Place - in a new version, with contrasting sleeves, Fraser Tartan lining and branded patches. The Harrington Jacket now comes in new colours, such as power orange, brown cigar and green lake, and features the fine Baracuta logo pin.
